The one place I have seen House Wrens near the ocean in Clatsop County was in
the yard of a house that my family used to rent for vacations in Seaside. The
yard behind it was "nicely ill-kept", a tangle of bushes. The yard where we
stayed had shore pines, as did many of the properties nearby, and most of the
yards were rather open in regard to plantings. The area has well-drained
soil, and had a dry aspect to it.
