Owen Schmidt took the dive and walked the 5 miles or so south from China
Creek and reports good luck in finding the SIBERIAN WHIMBREL at New
River this morning. He apparently got some good photos which I am sure
we will see later today. I am also sure he will report about how far
it is, how difficult it is, how howling the winds were (right from the
get go this morning, and currently a stiff 20-25mph with gusts), and how
he nearly died or thought he might chasing this bird. LOL. Fair warning.
