I went out to the South Jetty of the Columbia River to see
if I could find a Buff-breasted, but could only manage a female
RUFF.

The bad news: this is Hood to Coast Weekend, so between that and
Bouy 10, driving around the county is the worst kind of traffic
nightmare.
There are still at least 10 ELEGANT TERNS at Hammond Boat Basin
(but the birds at Tokeland may be easier to chase this weekend).
