I've also been following for a little while, and tried going through the archives too, but I haven't figured out what this "general area" is to even start looking--could someone provide something more specific? I've never been to the Pacific City area before. I'm hoping to be over the weekend after Christmas, after a week in Eugene. speaking of that, I'm also trying to figure out where the Snowy Owl was seen "around Fern Ridge." I know where the lake is, but it's awfully big to go search without some direction. I'd like to be able to take my nephew to try to see it if it's still around, it would be a nice break from helping my brother move across town. thanks for the help! I'm a birder from Richland WA, and I'm considering finally going after the Bean Goose on Sunday the 14th. Is it still around? I haven't seen an update on it since the 7th. I'm guessing the Brown Boobies are gone? Also, since I'd be over there and might take an extra day to chase other life birds, I was wondering where the best place would be to try for the following: -Wrentit -White-tailed Kite -Rock Sandpiper -Tropical Kingbird -Northern Fulmar -Black-legged Kittiwake -Long-tailed Duck -Ancient Murrelet -Red Phalarope Thank you.
