Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK is now visiting a feeder in Eugene. If
interested in seeing this bird contact Mark Nikas. A group of GREAT-TAILED
GRACKLES are now being seen in McDermitt, Nevada. They appear to be nesting.
They are being seen in both Oregon and Nevada.
Shorebird migrations are well underway. It is best to observe them at this
time as most are still in bright summer plumages. A WILLET and a DUNLIN were
in the Flores Lake area July 5. That day four LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at Cape
Meares Lake. The lake is now being drawn down for repairs.
On July 5 up to 90 GREAT EGRETS were at the Bybee Lake rookery in North
Portland. A GOLDEN EAGLE was near Silverton July 4. Two male RUFOUS
HUMMINGBIRDS continue to be seen coming to a feeder in Silverton.
An adult WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was photographed during the week visiting a
feeder near Philomath. On July 6 two flycatchers identified as GRAY
FLYCATCHERS were seen in Eugene.
A GRAY CATBIRD was seen July 3 along the Deschutes River at the Warm Springs
Boat Ramp.
