This report was made Thursday July 17. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at 503-233-3976. The probable male BROAD-TAILED HUMMINGBIRD continues to be seen at an Oak Grove feeder. Shorebird migrations continue with LESSER YELLOWLEGS and dowitchers increasing. On July 15 eight MARBLED GODWITS and 15 WHIMBREL were at the Hammond Boat Basin. A PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was at Fern Ridge Reservoir July 16 and an AVOCET was seen July 12 at New River. Large numbers of CALIFORNIA GULLS are now along the Oregon coast. On July 15 a pair of WESTERN KINGBIRDS with four chicks was photographed at Baskett Slough NWR. On July 16 a TRICOLORED BLACKBIRD colony was reported along Spicer Road southeast of Albany. One or two CATBIRDS are now being seen at Camp Polk Meadows north of Sisters. On July 13 up to 450 WHITE PELICANS were at Wickiup Reservoir south of Bend. That¹s it for this week. - end transcript
