Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 16. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On February 12 a GYRFALCON was seen along Elk Mountain Road near Joseph. A
WHITE-WINGED DOVE is now being seen in Redmond. The BROWN THRASHER was seen
again February 13 along the Salishan Nature Trail at the south end of Siletz
Bay. The Coos Bay KING EIDER, the Sutton Lake BRAMBLING, and the South Beach
COSTA'S HUMMINGBIRD continue to be seen.
An obvious movement of TREE SWALLOWS through western Oregon February 13-14
brought reports from Oakridge, Alvadore, Baskett Slough NWR, Tualatin NWR,
and Ridgfield NWR. RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are also on the move with reports
from Coos Bay, Reedsport, South Beach, and Philomath.
A TURKEY VULTURE was over Garden Home in Washington County February 9 and
another was in Linnton February 12. Two early VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS were
seen February 14 on the North Spit of Coos Bay. Three were at Baskett Slough
NWR February 15. On February 14 a EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL was at Alsea
Bay.
