What fun today to wake up to cold but a sunny blue sky day. Great lighting
for photography. I went to Ankeny NWR this afternoon a watched and
photographed the Lewis's Woodpecker for over an hour. What a busy bird.
It chased away any birds ( including Jays) coming to it's large oak tree.
This Lewis's was taking acorns out of stashes in the tree branches and
putting them in new locations in the tree. It did this the whole time I
