I birded the ponds with former Cannon Beach birder Durrel Kapan and Evan Cain
on Thursday. While we were here more birds came in. We and 12 species of
shorebirds at the location:

14 or so Short-billed Dowitchers
at least 1 Long-billed Dowitcher
12 Lesser Yellowlegs
2 Greater Yellowlegs
Western Sandpipers
Least Sandpipers
2 Pectoral Sandpipers
1 Red-necked Phalarope
1 Wandering Tattler (in the salicornia)
1 Black-belleid Plover
8 Semipalmated Plovers
