I recently reported that Terry Wahl mentioned having lots of Palms around.
Alan Contretas asked me about timing for this species. I thought I'd send
something out on it.
Although birds are occasional reported in September, we usually do not see
our first migrants until mid-October on the south coast. Some years I don't
see any until November which is the peak month for migration on the south
coast. Birds seen from December on have a fair chance of being
overwintering individuals.
Anyhow we are now just getting into peak season for this species which is a
later migrant than most all other warbler species.
Merry late migration!
