Hello, everyone
Last night at about 11:30 pm, when I was photographing moths at the porch
light, I saw something that looked like a large moth flying around in the
trees. When I turned my flashlight on it, it turned out to be a Rufous
Hummingbird, flying up near the top of a Hazelnut. I don't know if I woke
it up by unknowingly shining my flashlight in its face, or if it was
already awake and taking advantage of the increased bug activity due to the
heat. Has anyone ever seen hummingbirds be active at night?
