My friends who live in Hillsboro showed me where juncos nested in the hanging basket in their back yard.

There was a discussion a while back about urban juncos.  When I went the UO
area this morning there was a young junco hopping along the edge of 13th street
in front of Smith Family Books, apparently to get a drink from a small puddle
that accumulated from sidewalk washing.  Not a huge surprise, as they breed on
campus three blocks away, but I thought I’d mention it because the habitat was
a little nonstandard.

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for
sure that just ain't so.
