Just an fyi, in two weeks there is a pelagic trip out of Newport that is
heading offshore, sign up and join the petrel hunt!

several of these were photo'd, and I can provide lat/long for EVERY bird, in
case someone would like that level of detail; certainly seen in numbers off
every county between Coos and Tillamook

DARK-RUMPED (HAWAIIAN) PETREL
1-- 41.966, 124.957 (ca. 53 km WSW of s. Curry Co.)
1-- 42.245, 124.969 (ca. 48 km W of s. Curry Co.)
1-- 42.431, 124.977 (ca. 45 km W of Gold Beach)
1-- 42.932, 125.001 (ca. 38 km WNW of Cape Blanco)

LONG-TAILED JAEGER
1-- 44.742, 125.110 (ca. 83 km W of Newport)
tight flock of 14 adults-- 45.399, 125.149 (ca. 93 km off Netarts Bay)

SABINE'S GULL
very high count of 730 birds for the day, with flock after flock feeding on
the surface or flying north

ARCTIC TERN
1-- 43.558, 125.031 (ca. 57 km WNW of Coos Bay)
1-- 43.959, 125.049
