Linda,
I am on a work break with only my phone to view these images. I suspect that
you've received some responses from folks who are calling this a Purple Finch.
They would be correct. It does appear to be a young male on a transitional
plumage. I will take a look at this at home tonight and provide an explanation
as to why this is a Purple rather than House Finch.
