I looked for the Least Flycatcher on Coyote Creek at Fern Ridge this morning
found by John Sullivan last month and seen by Mark Nikas yesterday with no
success. I thrashed my way to the spot on the east bank of Coyote Creek
north of Rt 126 marked by John on Google Maps and spent from 7:00-8:00
looking for the bird - nary a chebek. It would have been hard to see if
perched and quiet and it likely moves about - easy for a flycatcher, tough
for a person - along the creek. Thanks to Mark & John for terrestrial
guidance.
