Kirtland Sewage Ponds have been a hot spot in the Rogue Valley this year.  They 
are located just north of 
Medford.http://maps.google.com/maps?q=42.432421,-122.910125


I birded there today and found the following at 1pm.
1 SOLITARY SANDPIPER
5 Spotted Sandpiper
1 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Lesser Yellowlegs
3 Black-necked Stilt
5 Killdeer
2 Dunlin
30 Western Sandpiper 
8 Least Sandpiper
23 Wilsons Phalarope
10 Red-necked Phalarope
1 Long-billed Dowitcher
3 Short-billed Dowitcher
9 dowitcher sp. (sleeping belly-deep in middle of pond)
2 Canvasback & 4 Eared Grebe on back pond

1Peregrine Falcon
1 American Pipit
In the past week, including this morning, there has also been notable species 
like Semipalmated Sandpiper, Whibrel,  Black and Forster's Terns reported.
