exposed at low tide here (Google maps 43.358317, -124.311431). While it may
not have an official name, it is THE Fossil Point that local birders use to
describe this good birding destination. It is also the location used and
referenced by birders for the many good birds that have been found here over
the years, (Emperor Goose, Common Eider, and King Eider, etc.).
