Some of you may have known Kimdel Owen of Redmond. He was a long-time
birder in Central Oregon. He passed away yesterday after an extended
illness. Our birding community has lost a valued member and the birds
have lost a big fan. I will miss my many birding journeys with Kim. We
spent many a night in cheap motels waiting to see birds in the far
reaches of Oregon. He will be missed by many and I am very glad to have
had him as a friend.
