I hiked the easy 3/4 mile out to Kilchis Point in Bay City this afternoon
hoping to get a look at the Heron/Egret Rookery. I was surprised when I got
out there to see 5 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and some peeps far out on the mud
flats. There is a very nice covered pavilion set back from the shore that
offers a somewhat restricted view of the mud flats, but when the tide is in
and it is raining it should be serviceable enough.
Shorebirds are coming!
