Sorry I wasn't clear - Pixieland is in Lincoln County (off Hwy 18 between Otis
and Neotsu). Life bird for me - yay! Thanks for the assist, all!

Congrats, Dawn, that is definitely a Townsend’s Solitaire. Not sure what he is
doing at Pixieland, but a good find for Marion County.

I saw this bird at Pixieland a couple of hours ago - pretty much entirely grey
- breast was either white or paler grey than the body, long tail darker than
body and had some white at the tips, VIVID white eyering.

My first glimpse of him was perched upright at the tip of a small snag (a male
Rufous Hummingbird was wanting the same spot but left him alone after buzzing
him a couple of times). About 8' tall snag. I had been watching an OLIVE SIDED
FLYCATCHER just before I saw him and my first thought was it seemed an odd
place for the flycatcher to have moved to (then everything else that was wrong
about that first thought came to fore - wrong coloration, too big, etc.).

Size -- I thought it was larger than the flycatcher, maybe similar (but
thinner) to a robin?

I never heard it make a sound - it moved pretty silently to another similar
location, then to a branch (about same height off ground).

Perched where I first saw him (overexposed in bright sunlight):

On branch (color more accurate):

His back:

Thanks!
