We had a total of 8 people visit Green Ridge today to help count passing raptors. We counted from 10:00 to 4:00 for a total of 91 migrating raptors. The weather was sunny with light E-SE winds and temperatures in the high 40s and low 50s. In contrast to Wednesday the first three hours were busy and the numbers dropped way down through the afternoon. We will be at the site for the rest of the weekend so come up and join us. I will be at Indian Ford Campground to lead people to the site at 9:00. Today's count was Turkey Vulture 7 Northern Harrier 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk 32 Cooper's Hawk 20 Red-tailed Hawk 18 Golden Eagle 1 Unident. Accipiter 5 Unident Buteo 6 Lots of birds were way out to the east and high and hard to get a positive ID. Kim Boddie Bend
