Hi everyone,
I just stepped out onto my porch for what I assumed would be a slow few
minutes of July afternoon birding. I instead was almost immediately
surprised by a flurry of passerines and their songs, included my yard
HERMIT WARBLERS, the only my second sighting this far east of the coast
range.
Among the 26 other species were a WILSON'S WARBLER, a DOWNY WOODPECKER, and
a BARN SWALLOW, all of which have been scarce here lately.
Good birding,
Caleb Centanni
