Hi folks,
My brother and I just finished birding Fernhill Wetlands in Washington
County with Bill Tice. The highlight was a SOLITARY SANDPIPER on the shore
of the main lake, seen by all three of us and photographed by Bill. I'll
put photos in the eBird checklist later.
Other shorebirds were one SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, eleven GREATER YELLOWLEGS,
about ten LEAST SANDPIPERS, around 8 SPOTTED SANDPIPER, ten likely
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS, and a number of KILLDEER.
One NORTHERN PINTAIL was on the marshes to the southeast of the main lake.
46 WHITE PELICANS were also on that marsh.
