Hello All, The SNOWY OWL was visible from the far west end of Royal Avenue this morning. It was in about the same location as yesterday, southwest of the Caspian Tern Island. A MERLIN was harassing a large flock of several thousand DUNLIN out towards the low lake pool. There were about 60 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS in the flock too. An adult PEREGRINE FALCON was perched on a stump in the same area. 6 WHITE PELICANS could be seen on the lake from the end of Royal. Becky Waterman and Nick Paget spotted a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT in the reeds on our walk back to the parking area. The three of us then walked north of the parking area where Becky spotted their lifer NORTHERN SHRIKE! A nice day to be out at the lake.
