Greetings OBOLers, This morning, I birded the end of Royal Avenue, Fern Ridge (Lane County). On my walk out, I observed a singing COMMON YELLOWTHROAT. MARSH WRENS were everywhere.
I met up with Dave Jones and Fred Ferguson at the end of Royal Avenue where we observed previously reported DUNLIN, GREATER YELLOWLEGS, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, and LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER (at least two) and at least one WILSON'S SNIPE. Also present were "singing" SORA, both VIOLET-GREEN, TREE and CLIFF SWALLOWS. The numerous AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were a joy to watch.
The LEWIS' WOODPECKER first reported during the Eugene CBC was still in the oak tree near the road at the house (with the pond) on the east side of Royal Ave.
A very enjoyable morning with two great guys! regards, Diane Pettey Heceta Beach, OR surfbird@xxxxx OBOL archives: www.freelists.org/archive/obol Manage your account or unsubscribe: //www.freelists.org/list/obol Contact moderators: obol-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
