Eugene Birders Night Attendees,
The last couple of times we met a resident of the nearby condominiums
interrupted our meeting to inform us that someone was parked in their owned
space, and that if the car was not moved quickly a tow truck would be
called.
To stay out of trouble, please be aware of this and only park in the spaces
marked for "McNail/Riley House". There are not many of those spaces. Five I
think! The spaces may not spell out "McNail/Riley House", but may only have
the initials stenciled on the pavement.
If you park in a numbered space, or one labeled for "Visitors" to the
Lincoln School Condominiums, you are at risk of being towed. To head off
that possibility, there are easily over a hundred spaces to the south across
W. 13th Ave. in the Lane County Fairgrounds parking lot. Park there so you
don't have to go out in the rain and move your car while the program
continues.
In order to gain access to the Fairgrounds parking area, there is a curb cut
west of the Jefferson St./W. 13th Ave. intersection, which means you will
have to go at least one block west on W. 12th Ave. or W. 11th Ave. before
connecting to W. 13th Ave. because W. 13th Ave. is a one-way eastbound
arterial. Or you can continue south on Jefferson St. if you are coming from
the north! Either way, you will find a lot of parking with no danger of
having to bum a ride to visit a tow truck lot after the meeting in case you
get towed with no warning. This is your warning. You're welcome.
