If you saw the Deschutes County American Three-toed Woodpeckers just of
Forest Service Road 1018 this year I am asking that you change the location
of your sighting to a Hotspot I created for the location. It is called NF
1018 Burn and is in the approximate location of the latilong coordinates
where the nest was. As it stands now there are 23 separate spots, not to
mention those who decided to put it in Whispering Pines Campground or Scott
Pass Trailhead to keep the location more general. I had treated the
sightings as "sensitive" under Ebird protocols until the young had fledged,
offering a tiny bit of anonymity to the location up till that point.
If you need information on how to change the location on your sightings,
please let me know.
