Just got back from 2 days at Malheur Refuge and Steens Mtn. Birding was not
the main focus (I know, weird, right?), but thought I'd let people know
that the biomass of mosquitoes in Page Springs CG is currently far greater
than hominids.
Also spent two nights at Cinder Hill CG, East Lake in Newberry Crater. Best
birds here were a flyover of 4 WHITE-FACED IBIS and a calling FLAMMULATED
OWL at night.
