It is a Short-billed by the white on scaps going up the sides rather than
just on tips. Other points as well. I think it is too spotted on neck for
a hendersoni. Seems to fit caurinus. IMO

This dowitcher was the only shorebird near the smattering of gulls at the
creek run on the beach.  It was there all day and was very tolerant of
people and dogs.  I suspected it might be injured but I did observe it fly
twice.  I think it is a Short-billed and wonder if it could be of the
subspecies *hendersonii*.
