[obol] Coos Mtn. Chick 3/31/2013

In late October and early November we had a few Mtn. Chickadee sightings in
Coos. I was excited thinking if was a major irruption year and we would get
one on the Coos Bay CBC in December. None after early November until a bird I
found at Millicoma Marsh on 12/27, missing our CBC. Then no sightings until
Noah Strycker found two on the CoquilleValley CBC in Bandon on 5 January.
NOTHING since. I have looked and listened hard. Then today, out at the east
side of Coos Bay near the boat ramp where Cedar and I walk, we found a barely
singing MOUNTAIN CHICKADEE- way cool! I had good looks at the white eyeline
too. Very cool, a species we only get to see very 5 years or so in Coos if we
are lucky!
