Dear all
I'm back in Denmark after enjoying your virtual company and state for the last
three weeks. Many impressions and about 160 spp including about 15 lifers.
Anyway it is 24 years since I last (& first!) visited the west coast and about
15 since last did any serious birding in the states and that was near Madison WI
Collared dove was a US tick for me, and I only saw one mourning dove this time.
Have collared displace mourning? As many of you may know, collared has only,
albeit naturally, colonized nv Europe over the last half century... But has
not affected the only over dove in the genus, turtle , which has is an Africa
migrant and has declined for other reasons.
I guess this is an old discussion, but I would appreciate your comments.
