I birded Bayocean Spit for a couple hours today and found all of my
shorebirds at Cape Meares Lake in the shallows visible from the dike road.
There were around:
10 Greater Yellowlegs
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
15 Western Sandpipers
6 Dowitchers
The short grass area near the narrow flats looks like it could be good for
some interesting species later this fall.
