Hello all, My family and I are planning a (mostly family) trip to Japan from 18 March - 30 March. I am hoping to do at least one day,( maybe two if I'm really lucky) of birding. The majority of the stay will be focused around Tokyo, but I think I might be able to get away for an overnight stay in another part of the country. I am wondering if anyone out in OBOLland has birded in Japan before, and where some birdy places might be this time of year. Or any ideas on target birds to shoot for? I was in Japan in 2012 and got around 40 species while there, but, the majority of the stay was in/around Tokyo, so the birds were fairly common ones. Would Ebird be a good resource to check? Any other resource ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, -- Cheers, Zia Fukuda
