I also have Canon Image Stabilized binos, the 15X and I love them. I really
like getting the extra detail without switching to a scope right away. And the
image stabilization works not only for shaky hands, but also shaky
surroundings, like on a viewing platform in the wind or on a boat or in a car.
The 10x and 12x have a smaller case size and the 15x and 18x have a bigger
heavier case. I have never minded the extra weight. I bought clear filters for
the lenses so I don't have to worry about scratching them.
Last year I took a header down some stairs with them around my neck and smashed
one side and Canon fixed them. And I was worried about scratching them, pshaw!
