Hey friends, A quick trip through Baskett Slough revealed a fair number of larger shorebirds at the narrows: 7+ Greater Yellowlegs 2 Lesser Yellowlegs 7 Long-billed Dowitchers 1 Black-necked Stilt This is the first time in a while that I have seen any dowitchers or groups of yellowlegs at the refuge. There isn't very much mud at the narrows yet, but a lot of shallow water, so mud should appear soon enough with all this heat. Definitely worth a stop if you are driving by. Cheers!
