Tonight at the Chapman School chimney in NW Portland there were 50 Vaux's
Swifts. A Cooper's Hawk took one for dinner.
It's getting very late for them; I believe the latest they've been seen
here is Oct 13 or 14. If the rains come tomorrow, it will be hard to tell
if they're still around as they often fly into the chimney earlier than
usual and in small groups.
