There has been a change of topic. The speaker will still be Menachem Bazian, noted author and authority, and the topic will be OOP. "Object Oriented Design and Programming (OOP) allows us to save massive amounts of development time by creating templates on which we can create application components. The key to Object Oriented Design lies in being able to abstract functionality effectively. The more functionality that can be abstracted, the less has to be specifically created for your application components. This session will discuss Object Orientation in general and Abstraction in particular and how this powerful method of development can be leveraged in your applications. Examples will be drawn from Foxpro, VB, and .NET ." The meeting will be in NYU's Silver Building, 32 Waverly Place, NE corner of Washington Square. The meeting is Thursday 9/4 from 7 pm to 9 pm. The room number is unknown at this time (maybe #803), but will be known and posted by the time of the meeting - so ask the guards for directions. And bring photo ID. Hope to see you there. ________________________________________ To unsubscribe from the NYACC Database SIG list, send an email to nycfoxsig-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' (no quotes) in the subject field.
