Hi all,

a halve year ago I asked here for including unicode symbols. Here's the
mail Mesar send me. May someone has got the time to look at them and
include it in a new release.

But from what I remember nothing got implemented.
I have just thrown something together quickly from the list that Blake
emailed, and uploaded it as the unicode branch, adding 762 new smilies.

The addon package is attached.

I didn't check all of them, but they seem to be one unicode character,
not two as you described, so it might not work for the smilies you
found.

The problem is to find the smiley and its description.

Anyway, please test the attached and see how it goes.

Please note that this does not solve the problem you found against nvda
next,
so try it against master.
