Saturday Morning Science is designed to help 7th - 12th grade students from underserved areas in Houston get excited about math and science, and to encourage them to pursue careers in medicine and the biosciences! The program runs from January through May, with sessions taking place 2 Saturday mornings per month. The sessions consist of a 45-minute presentation from Baylor College of Medicine faculty, followed by break-out sessions which are led by our medical and graduate students. Everyone then re-convenes as a large group to report back what you found in your small groups. This is a valuable opportunity for your students to interact with physicians, tenured scientists, medical students, and graduate students. A hot breakfast is served at each session. The one-time commitment fee for the entire 10-week program is only $40/student. Schools have the option to pay for their students.
