The Office of Human Resources regrets to announce the passing of Dr. Ernest C.
Hammond, Jr. on Saturday, September 13, 2015.
Dr. Hammond was a professor in the University’s School of Computer,
Mathematical and Natural Sciences. He worked for the University and tenured
over 40 years as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and ultimately as
a Principal Investigator for the University’s NASA Program before retiring in
2012. We encourage you to keep the Hammond family in your thoughts and prayers.
Per the family, the following arrangements have been made:
Viewing, Wake, and Funeral
The viewing will take place Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM.
The wake and funeral for Dr. Hammond will be held the following day, Wednesday,
September 30, 2015 at 11:30 AM and 12 noon respectively at:

Baltimore, MD 21215
Interment
Interment will follow the funeral at:
Garrison Forest Veterans’ Cemetery
