A brief hash Trash for 27/02/17
Run # 1654
Hares: Aunty Emma and Mangler
5 Maloney St
Sth Lismore
Virgin hares Aunty Emma ( Fay) and Mangler ( Bruce) positively nailed it! Both
runners and walkers were unanimous in giving the flat well marked trail a
thumbs up. Had Aunty Emma not checked what had been thoughtfully mapped out for
the run (initially 13 km ), Mangler may have been impaled on his mallet.
It was a gorgeous evening to be out walking and running the streets and parks
of Sth Lismore.
We skirted around the edge of Nesbitt Park so as not to interrupt a womens
footy training session. One of the ladies was overheard telling others that we
must be 'the walking club for old people' she had heard about.
If all hashers with greying, grey or white hair join Slurrrr in supporting The
World's Greatest Shave ' we can avoid ( at least for a few weeks) being
confused with that group of old people who must also do their walking on Monday
evenings.
We do like to make mention of any wildlife spotted, and this week we were not
disappointed. A rather large snake which was identified as a Rubberous Python
was seen hanging on a power line.
We had not long returned to hash home and settled comfortably under the back
deck when the heavens opened. Fortunately we had brought our brollies, but
unfortunately most of us had left them in our cars.
Down Downs to Aunty Emma and Mangler for setting such a brilliant trail and for
serving up great hash tucker.
A down down also for Tea Bag who was incredibly inconsistent during the course
of the walk. She alternated between being an SCB to dragging the chain.
Sorry folks, no pics this week.
