I am saddened to inform you that Paula Teeples has died. Paula will be missed by all ! We send our love to Tom and the family. Obituary for Paula Teeples Paula Murphy Teeples, 79, of Irvington died on December 2, 2013. She was born in Annapolis, Md. on May 30, 1934. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Clinton Teeples; three sons, John Charles Teeples and wife, Amy of Reston, Va., Paul Thomas Teeples and wife, Grace Kimberly of Richmond, Va. and Joe Prince Teeples and wife, Kimberly of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary, William , Moss and Charlotte; and a sister , Joann Langrock of Salisbury, Vt. Paula's early childhood, as a military daughter, was a patchwork of travel and a crazy quilt of education. She was a stay-at-home Mom until all of the boys were of school age. Then she became a teacher's aide, later a clerk at National Science Foundation and then a Legislative Clerk at the House of Representatives' Committee on Science and Technology. In that job she met many of the U. S. astronauts, plus some Russian ones. Paula and Tom retired to the Northern Neck in 1991 where she became involved in raising ducks and geese, earning an honorary title of "Mother Goose". She also was active in many volunteer positions, including the Tavern restoration in Heathsville, the Tavern Quilt Guild, the Rivah Quilters, the Women's Club of White Stone and the Historic Christ Church. A one sentence description for Paula would be: "She never met a dog she didn't like." A memorial service will be held at a later date.
