During the night the wind and rain bent the branches on the rose bush, that our cardinal was nesting in,on a 45% angle. 2 of the 3 eggs were on the ground and the female was frantically flying in and out of the bush. The situation became so bad, that the male even left his buddies at the feeder, and came to take a look at the tilted nest. I tied the rose branch up with some string and got the nest back up and level. Then I placed the eggs back into the nest with the hope that mamma would return. We got lucky and now the female is back on her eggs.
