KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south of Kilmarnock just
off Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.

As predicted, a bump in fledges this week. And a second clutch start for
the earliest box (with 2 eggs); maybe more next week. Saw a red wing
blackbird nest at the dam between the #3 pond and the #4 pond. Also a
young-looking green heron at the same location.

Here is a summary:
Eggs: 13 in 4 nests.
Young: 49 in 12 nests.
Fledged: 44.
Total fledged for the season: 56.
Other: One chickadee nest fledged 5, this week. Another CC nest has 6
eggs and the Tree Swallow nest has 6 eggs.

Looking good.........Tom
