Leading Consumer and Packaging Companies Join Forces to Define
Benchmarks
Once again Women in Packaging, Inc. (WMPKG) is leading the packaging industry
with a landmark program. Embarking on its tenth anniversary, the foremost
packaging association for women is challenging packaging employers to
establish concrete diversity policies. WMPKG has assembled an outstanding
team of packaging professionals to form a Best Practices Committee.
Recognizing the importance of this effort Astra-Zeneca, Biomeriuex, Carnaud
Metalbox/Crown Cork & Seal, Coca-Cola, Cordis, Creative Retail Packaging,
CSG, Design & Source Productions, Dow, J&J, Eastman Kodak, Ford,
Georgia-Pacific, Holland & Knight LLP, Inland, Kraft, L Barron & Associates,
Inc., MeadWestvaco, Mocon, PCA, Rock-Tenn, Sonoco, Stratis, TetraPak,
The Packaging Coach and Universal Folding Box have signed on and joined the
committee.

The mission and focus of the committee will be to lead packaging
employers to better diversity practices that ultimately affect their bottom
lines.
The committee will work to provide Business Case Materials on all areas of
Diversity to build Diversity Management for major corporations and
government departments. It will share and exchange Best Practices around
all key issues on Diversity as a rich interchange to advance each company's or
government agencies program.
Through WMPKG's leadership programs and collateral benefits the Best
Practices Committee will benchmark programs to ensure continued success.
By utilizing the WMPKG network, the committee will be able to establish
relationships with senior practitioners around Diversity Best Practices
and to gain the best input through networking.

Founded as an organization dedicated to helping increase diversity in the
