Subject: Welcome to Kidspired Bunnies
Our project is almost complete. The remaining web pages will be posted within
the next few weeks but there are plenty of materials that you can use right
now.
If you are a reading, K-2, special education teacher or school librarian and
have access to Kidspiration, this resource is for you.
A group of innovative teachers have created Kidspiration templates that you can
download and use with your students. You will also see how these teachers
integrated Kidspiration in their literacy programs.
Ways to Use This Project:
In the Library: Read one of the bunny books to the class. Depending on the
number of computers you have in your library, allow students to work on the
Kidspiration template that goes along with the book while other students choose
books to take home.
The next time students come to the library, show them the shared
writing/interactive writing piece that is showcased on the web site. Use this
as a model to replicate the activity. Allow students to work on the
Kidspiration template during book exchange.
Classroom Teachers:
If you have learning centers the Kidspiration templates are ideal. You can
also
have students read the written piece as a shared reading activity on the
computers. Depending on your grade level, students can engage in the same
written activity as an independent writing activity during center time.
These are just a few suggestions. Please let us know if you find other
successful ways to use this project with your students. Send us an e-mail or
post your ideas and feedback on the project guest book.
Enjoy
