Subject: [WWWEDU] request for submissions: historic timeline on the Web
in education
Hi everyone,
Patsy Wang-Iverson and I are exploring the possibility of hosting a series of
events over the course of 2005 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of WWWEDU,
along with a review of the first decade of the Web in education. If funding
works out, the series would culminate in the release of a report reviewing
what's happened in education and the Web since the Web's inception, what's
happening now, and what may occur in the coming decade.
As part of this report, we'd like to include a timeline on important milestones
in the Web in education, in terms of research, professional development,
initiatives, classroom practice and policy. Therefore, I'd like to send this
request to the list for suggestions of what milestones you would include in the
timeline. Please feel free to email your suggestion, when it occurred and why
you'd include it in the timeline.
