Subject: [WWWEDU] PROF DEV: This Week At TAPPED IN April 20, 2003

After School Online (ASO) is a forum for educators. The scheduled
events, designed for professional development, are open to everyone in
the TAPPED IN community and all guests.

You can get a sneak preview of the new system (dubbed TI2) in some of
the ASO sessions this month including several TI2 Tours and Tips.
This week's featured events for ESL/EFL teachers and learners include
the Saturday and Sunday WebHeads. Monday is the popular Technology in
the Classroom with Donna Hendry and the Alternative/Correctional Ed
Discussion with guest Rebecca Weinstein from Youth Portraits. Tuesday
there is a special discussion about New Century Schoolhouse and "The
Perfect Classroom." Tuesday's K-3+ Resources and Middle Grades Science
always have some great resources for you! On Wednesday, Jeff Cooper,
Education Technology Specialist at Pacific University's College of
Education, invites you to join the Collaborative Internet Sites online
workshop and meet the workshop participants. Wednesday's Social Studies
Forum topic is the PBS Documentary "Fate Did Not Let Me Go." Please
note that Targeting Librarians!- Designing Backwards has been
rescheduled for Thursday. Thursday's events also include Global Project
Based Learning, with the topic Social Studies; and the 7-12 Science
Forum, with the topic of Accessibility in the One Computer Classroom.
Events marked (TI2) will be held in the TI2 system.
