This Tuesday, February 11th will be our first LIVE FROM THE AURORA
broadcast, AURORAS - LIVE WITH A STAR, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. The broadcast
will be carried on participating PBS stations and on NASA TV at 1:00 p.m.
and in the Education File at 2-3 p.m. 5-6 p.m., 8-9 p.m., 11 p.m.-12 a.m.,
and 2-3 a.m. on February 12, 2003. Check your local listings to see if your
PBS station is carrying the broadcast. Some stations tape the broadcast and
show it at a later time, so if they are not carrying the broadcast contact
your local station to see if they have it scheduled for a later date. Also
it is possible that we could be pre-empted on NASA TV due to the Shuttle
Columbia accident. The program includes information about auroras, their
impact on us here on Earth, viewing auroras from the Shuttle and Space
Station and more. And for all of the language arts people on the list
Alaskan natives talk about tales that have been passed down from generation
to generation that could really be used as part of your myths unit. The
broadcast will also be carried on the web via video streaming and archived
on our website after the broadcast.
