smoke from burn pits that were constructed by independent contractors to the military. The article describes a variety of serious medical aliments includingrespiratory conditions involving a chronic cough, and 6 deaths due to
leukemia and 5 more that are reportedly under treatment for the same cancer. A Federal lawsuit is now pending onbehalf of the soldiers and independent contractors who have been exposed.
